Rebecca Deridder is a Belgian cellist currently studying with Prof. Sally Pendelbury at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. Her studies are kindly supported by the Alan Niekirk Scholarship. She completed her Bachelors degree at the Royal Conservatoires of Antwerp and Mons in Belgium where she studied under David Cohen, Sarah Dupriez and France Springuel. Rebecca is a laureate of the Concours Edmond Baert, Fondation Felbusch (2017) and Fondation Servais (Concours du Triomphe de l’Art 2018). In April 2022, she was a semi-finalist in Tunbridge Wells International Competition. Since beginning her musical studies, she has taken part in masterclasses with Lluis Claret, Martti Rousi, Leonard Elschenbroich, Raphael Wallfisch, Julian Arp, and Peter Bruns.
Kyle Nash-Baker is a pianist/composer from Birmingham, based in London. He first started to teach himself to play piano aged 12 and began to write compositions after the colours he saw whilst playing them - a condition known as Synaesthesia. At the age of 15 Kyle’s composition ‘Red’ reached number 1 in the classical iTunes download charts and held this position for over 3 weeks. After hearing his music Vivienne Westwood asked him to write a suite of works to perform at her Fashion show at Paris fashion week. During 2013 Kyle toured Budapest, Switzerland and was featured in the Cartagena festival in Colombia with the violinist Geza Hosszu-Legocky and his string ensemble sharing concerts with such artists as Sergei Babayan and the Borodin Quartet. Kyle was awarded 1st Prize in Stratford and East London Piano Competition including the Felix Marr prize, 2nd prize in the Christopher Duke international Piano Competition. He has been a finalist in The Alfred Kitchin Schumann competition, the John Longmire Beethoven competition, the Glass Sellers Beethoven Competition and the Guildhall Romantic Prize. He has been a semi-finalist in the The Tunbridge Wells Young Artists International Competition, and at The Livorno International Piano Competition. Kyle completed his Masters Degree at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Charles Owen as a Leverhulme Trust Scholar. He now studies at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance with Sergio De Simone as a Gladys Bratton scholar.
