Misplaced is a 20 minute short dance film. It uses narrative structures through personal experiences and aims to connect emotionally and kinaesthetically to its viewers using various film techniques. This research investigation developed from a personal fascination with choreography for film and the film form world as a bodily method of making choreography.

Maria Inês Caldeira de Freitas is a student on Trinity Laban’s MA Choreography programme. This 20 minute presentation is part of an Autumn Graduate School Showcase which represents the culmination of creative work during students’ postgraduate programmes in the Faculty of Dance. Experimental and investigative in nature, the work draws upon collaborative and interdisciplinary practices arising from choreographic and performance-making research.
