Tim Lo | Being Queer…
FRI 7 OCT
11:00-17:00 Installation
14:00-14:20 Presentation
Being Queer… is an exploration of how the act of moving in queerness can bring creativity and joy. Presenting research stemming from personal lived experience of a genderqueer dancer, Tim Lo questions how dance and movement can create held spaces for queer folks. Tim also investigates how queer movement practices can facilitate intimacy with the self and others, supporting wellbeing, gender euphoria, healing and creativity for trans and non-binary people.
Tim Lo is a student on Trinity Laban’s MA Creative Practice: Dance Professional programme and presents this work as part of an Autumn Graduate School Showcase. The showcase represents the culmination of creative work during students’ postgraduate programmes in the Faculty of Dance. Experimental and investigative in nature, the work draws upon collaborative and interdisciplinary practices arising from choreographic and performance-making research.
