Dexter Wong is a young trombonist from Hong Kong. Aged 19, he is a pupil of Mr. Philip White and currently a 2nd year trombone student at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Dexter has been playing the trombone since childhood. However, he discovered his interest in music at the age of 16 during the time in St. Paul’s College, Hong Kong. He then sat at the feet of Mr. Chung-Pang Ng and Mr. Luen-Wah Tse, renowned trombone educator in Hong Kong. Dexter is well experienced. He is the principal trombone of the London Euphonia Orchestra, Hong Kong Artists’ Gallery Orchestra, Hong Kong Youth Symphonic Band. He is also the guest principal trombone of the Hong Kong University Philharmonic Orchestra and Symphonic Band and serves as the resident section leader of Hong Kong Joint University Orchestra and Symphonic Band.
We would like to thank our coach Anneke Scott for her invaluable advice and guidance.
