Priscila Oprescu is a Romanian-born classical pianist. She started playing the piano at the age of six, and by the age of nine had won first prize at the “Concours Musical de France” in Paris. In the years that followed she was awarded numerous prizes at many of the classical music competitions in Romania.
She has been performing frequently in concerts across her native country, as well as in Italy and in the UK. In the past months, Priscila played two very successful live streamed concerts for Benslow Music Trust, where she performed the Mozart Piano Concerto K466 in D minor and solo piano works by Beethoven and Liszt. Highlights of her more recent performances include appearances at the Wigmore Hall in London and in the Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli Concert Hall in Bolzano, Italy.
Priscila is currently studying under Professor Yekaterina Lebedeva at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. She has been awarded both the Arthur Haynes and Jimmie Cross Prize Fund Scholarships and was generously supported by the Henry Wood Accommodation Trust and the Finzi Trust.
After having won The John Longmire Competition in November 2020, Priscila will be representing Trinity Laban at the Beethoven Piano Society of Europe Intercollegiate Competition in June 2021.

The Metamorfosi Ensemble is a group of five young and enthusiastic musicians formed at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. The members of the group are from many places around the world including Italy, Spain, America and the UK. They are all highly experienced in solo and chamber playing, having taken part in festivals and competitions world-wide. They performed a well-received live stream concert at Blackheath Halls during Trinity Laban’s Chamber Week in October, and the group decided to stay together to form Metamorfosi. The group is delighted to have been selected for the Carne Chamber Mentorship Scheme 2020/21 as a versatile ensemble of varying combinations. They are exploring several different types of ensemble and exciting repertoire, such as string trio and piano quartet. Metamorfosi are looking forward to performing around the UK and Europe in many more concerts come the New Year. The group like to enjoy and perform in as many different ensemble arrangements as possible and today presents itself as a piano trio with ensemble players Hannah Littlechild violin, Ludovico Colombo cello and Mario Miralles piano.
