A double bill night of performances from the Trinity Laban Big Band, led by Winston Rollins, and The Trinity Laban Charlie Parker Project.

Directed by Winston Rollins, the Trinity Laban Big Band perform music by some of the most influential and prolific arrangers of Big Band repertoire, including Thad Jones, Sammy Nestico and Neal Hefti. Their set will include classic charts such as Lil’ Darlin’, Groove Merchant and Skyliner, with solos and features across the band throughout.

The Trinity Laban Charlie Parker Project is a 13-piece ensemble that explores the music of Charlie Parker afresh from a contemporary jazz perspective. Hear new arrangements of Parker’s music created especially for this line-up by Hans Koller, Trinity Laban’s Head of Jazz - written during the lockdowns of 2020, the centenary year of Parker’s birth.
Programme to include tunes from Parker’s most influential recordings, including Billie’s Bounce, Parker’s Mood, Hot House and 52nd Street Theme.
