Marisa Muñoz-López is an award-winning pianist and composer and a creative producer. She has performed in renowned venues including The Southbank Centre (UK) and Auditorio Principe de Asturias (Spain). Marisa has also commissioned over thirty works and premiered pieces by international composers. Last year, she was invited to perform in various festivals including the Festival Latinoamericano de Música. As a composer, she has been commissioned by numerous musicians including Elena Riu. Marisa’s works have been performed in venues such as Blackheath Halls, where her orchestral piece ‘The Lesser of Two Evils’ was conducted by Gregory Rose. Max Reinhardt, BBC Radio 3 presenter, stated that he was ‘swept away’ by this piece and that he identified ‘elements of both Stravinsky and Morricone’ in it, and awarded her First Prize at the Daryl Runswick Competition 2018. Marisa has received masterclasses from outstanding musicians including pianists Joaquín Achúcarro and Pascal Rogé and composers like Christopher Young. Marisa completed a double major in Composition and Performance with First Class Honors at Trinity Laban Conservatoire and was awarded the TCL Silver Medal for Piano 2020. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Music at the Royal Academy of Music with Professor Diana Ketler.
