Shuttle Dunhuang is a 20 minute interactive installation focusing on Dunhuang culture and dance, created by student Ying Hu and taking inspiration from Dunhuang murals and caves. Enter the world of Dunhuang, a city in the far East of China - a node city on the Silk Road - famous for its grottoes and murals from the fourth to the eleventh century AD.

Ying Hu is a student on Trinity Laban’s MA Choreography programme and this work is presented as part of an Autumn Graduate School Showcase. The showcase represents the culmination of creative work during students’ postgraduate programmes in the Faculty of Dance. Experimental and investigative in nature, the work draws upon collaborative and interdisciplinary practices arising from choreographic and performance-making research.
