Yiolanda Loizou is a classical guitarist born in Limassol, Cyprus. She is currently on her final year of the undergraduate course at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, studying classical guitar performance under the tutelage of Graham Anthony Devine. Before she initiated her studies in London, she acquired the guitar diploma of Musical Horizons Board of Exams with Distinction at the age of 14 and studied from a young age under the tutorship of renowned Cypriot classical guitarists, amongst which was Yiannos Philaretou and George Synnos. She has performed in several venues in Cyprus and Greece as a soloist, as well as a part of musical ensembles and choirs and was part of a number of musical events in her native country. In London, she performed solo guitar and chamber music in venues such as the Romanian Cultural Institute, Queen’s House and St Alfege’s Church in Greenwich. She has been tutored in masterclasses by distinguished classical guitarists, including Fiona Harrison, Christopher Stell and Antonis Koizas.
Nicholas Tait is an English classical guitarist. Having played the guitar since the age of 8, he graduated from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance with first class honours in 2022 under the tutelage of Graham Anthony Devine. Nick gives regular recitals, both as soloist and in various chamber groups. He is a member of the Meridian Guitar Quartet, winners of the Carne Trust Chamber Competition 2022. With a repertoire ranging from the Baroque to modern South American music, he has performed in venues such as St John’s Smith Square, the Wigmore Hall and St James’ Piccadilly. He has taken part in masterclasses with distinguished guitarists Tilman Hoppstock, Paul Galbraith and Roberto Aussel among others. While studying for a Master’s degree, Nick currently teaches a number of young classical guitarists.
